Kenneth Showell left behind hundreds of canvasses, thousands of slides, and fourteen portfolios stuffed with lithographs, pastels, watercolors, studies, and sketches.
Immediately after his death in 1997, the collection of over 1,000 items moved from Showell’s studio in New York City to his brother’s home in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2018, the work moved once again, this time to Seattle, Washington. Showell’s daughter Hannah Palin, a moving image curator, took charge of collection management and established Kenneth Showell Artworks, LLC to handle donations, sales, licensing, and merchandise, ensuring that his legacy lives on.
