Sketches

Showell’s collection includes a number of sketches for work that explores the graphic use of grids. It is unknown when these were created, but there is evidence that they were for an early show at the Bianchini Gallery in New York in 1967. A small sample of drawings and sketches related to his landscape and still lifes illustrate his creative process.
